From My Lips to Yours
Acrylic on canvas | 48×48 inches
The Inspiration
This started as music on, dancing, and the idea of putting paint all over my lips and pressing them to a large canvas over and over until the whole thing became a kind of ritual. At this scale, it took time, real time, and somewhere in the middle of it, the act of making it became as much a part of the work as the result. Hundreds of kisses, each one real, each one different, covering every inch of a canvas this size. What looks bold and chaotic from across the room reveals itself up close, mark by mark, one at a time, the whole thing made of nothing more than paint, a mouth, and love.
Materials and Surface
Original work is painted on professional-grade, 100% natural cotton canvas that is acid-free and archival-quality. The medium-textured surface holds the acrylic paint with depth and dimension. It is stretched over 1.5-inch kiln-dried solid wood stretcher bars with a 1.5-inch depth, fully painted black edges, wired and ready to hang.
Care and Longevity
To ensure long-term protection and professional durability, this work has been finished with an archival-quality, acid-free varnish. It is recommended to keep the canvas out of direct, prolonged sunlight to maintain the vibrancy.
