Bleeding Color
Acrylic on Canvas | 48×60
The Inspiration
At some point, we are all faced with trials and tribulations, walking through the dark with no light switch at hand. What we do with those experiences determines whether we end up bitter or better. Suffering is a teacher when the student is open to the lesson, and it took me a long time to understand that. It can awaken you and turn you into someone you could not have become any other way.
In my life, suffering has built character, deepened empathy, and helped me appreciate joy in a way that only that contrast can reveal. Bleeding Color is my pushing on, still having hope and faith in spite of hardship. I know that when I painted it, I was looking for peace in the storm and joy in the midst of sorrow. Every line of color radiating outward was bold and deliberate. She has that strength that is forged by being brought through the fire.
Materials and Surface
Original inch work is painted on professional-grade, 100% natural cotton canvas that is acid-free and archival-quality. It is hand-stretched over 1.5-inch kiln-dried solid wood stretcher bars with a substantial 1.5-inch depth and fully painted edges.
Care and Longevity
To ensure long-term protection and professional durability, this work has been finished with an archival-quality, acid-free varnish. It is recommended to keep the canvas out of direct, prolonged sunlight to maintain the vibrancy of the pigments.
